Extra-curricular activities

School Dance
The school dance is held annually in the school hall.  Students learn a variety of dances prior to the event.  Many parents attend and a good time is had by all.
ECO Garden Harvest Day
Agricultural/craft displays are displayed in the hall.  All classes and many parents visit.
Various gardening activities.
Interhouse Sports Day
A very big and popular day on the school calendar.  There are straight forward sprints and longer races for all age groups and sports games in the afternoon.  Don't forget the cheering competition either!  A great day for friendly competition.
Two marimba bands.
One ukulele band.
Awards Evening
The Awards Evening is held at the end of the year.  The achievements of students, staff and community members are recognised.  Students and on occasions, staff, provide light entertainment.
Year 7 Graduation Evening
Year 7 students gather at the end of the year and receive their graduation certificates and pens.
Twilight Concert
During November the instrumental music teachers and classroom music teacher combine to have their students present an open air concert.
End of year concert
During the last week of the school year, classes combine to present an informal concert.
Parades are held every Friday.  The upper school (years 4 to 7) commences at 9:00am whilst year 3 are at 2:15pm; year 2 at 2:30pm and year 1 at 1:45pm.  Prep parades commence later in the year and are on Thursday afternoons. Parents are invited to attend parades.
Reading celebration
Students who have been receiving extra support for reading combine to demonstrate their talents to parents and invited guests.
Indigenous achievement
Indigenous students combine to be acknowledged for their achievements with their individual education plans.
Behaviour awards
Behaviour awards/recognitions are a major component of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Program.  Certificates, ribbons and special morning teas celebrate the achievements of students.
Outdoor Chess with large pieces is available.
Online Chess
Robotics Club
Commenced in 2013. Students from years 6 and 7 are invited to participate.
Leggo Club
Operates in the library during lunch breaks.
Student Fitness
Fitness sessions with qualified instructors are available at various times throughout the year.
Staff Fitness
Staff fitness sessions are conducted after school on Thursday afternoons.
